  • Amazon.com: How do I earn contributions at this online store?

    To earn contributions on your everyday purchases at Amazon, you must login to OneCause and shop through an Amazon link or banner on OneCause.com. Amazon purchases made through your OneCause Toolbar will not earn contributions for your cause or school.

    Also keep in mind that contributions earned at Amazon will go to the cause or school selected at the time the transaction is reported to OneCause, which may be 6-8 weeks following the date of purchase. Contributions will not be earned on computer purchases over $1,250.

  • Can I search for merchants alphabetically?
    Yes! Just click All Merchants under the Shop tab. You can then look for merchants by alphabetical listing.
  • How will I know if my favorite online merchants are offering Coupons & Deals?

    If a coupon or deal is available for your favorite online merchant, a red coupon tag will appear beneath the merchant’s name. We added this feature so you never miss an opportunity to save money when you shop online through OneCause!

  • Why didn't my Amazon contributions go to my previous cause?

    Contributions earned at Amazon will go to the cause or school selected at the time the transaction is reported to OneCause, which may be 6 to 8 weeks following the date of purchase. If you changed your beneficiary within that timeframe, the contribution will go to the new cause or school selected.


  • Who are the Featured Merchants?

    Featured Merchants are a mix of the most popular merchants, new merchants and sponsor merchants on OneCause.


  • Can I earn contributions on Target and Walmart gift card purchases?

    No, Target and Walmart gift card purchases are excluded from earning contributions for your chosen cause or school.


  • Will I earn contributions if I forget to shop online through OneCause?

    No. To earn contributions for your favorite cause or school, you must start your everyday shopping at OneCause.com and click through to your favorite merchants, or install the OneCause Toolbar to make sure you earn contributions even if you forget to start your shopping at OneCause.com.

    Please note: A very small number of OneCause merchants are currently not contributing through the toolbar, including Amazon.com. When you visit these merchants’ websites, a gray light labeled “No Contributions” will appear on your toolbar. To earn contributions at that merchant, you must go to www.onecause.com and click to that merchant’s website from there.To earn contributions at Neighborhood Merchants, you must use the credit or debit cards you have registered with OneCause. To register your cards, login to My Home and click "Credit/Debit Cards."  

     

    To earn contributions at OneCause Visa Rewards Merchants, you must use your registered OneCause Visa® Platinum at their stores or through catalogs.

    Yes, you must enable cookies on your computer to personalize the website presentation and access reporting features. OneCause online merchants also utilize cookies to process your contributions.

    Yes. OneCause has partnered with online, store and catalog merchants nationwide. Encourage your friends and family to join OneCause and choose to support your cause or school today! For help, simply login to My Home and click "Invite Friends."

     

  • Are my OneCause purchases tax deductible?

    No. Online purchases as well as store and catalog purchases made through OneCause are not tax deductible.

     

  • Is shopping through OneCause secure?

    Online shopping security is important to OneCause. When shopping online, secure connections are generally made by the online merchant when you go to the checkout area of the merchant's website. Your browser will display a padlock icon at the bottom of the window when you are on a secure page.

     

  • Where can I find a full list of online merchants?

    To find the full list of online retail merchants, visit Shop and click "All Merchants."

     

  • Can I view a list of all merchants' contribution amounts?

    Yes. To view online merchants' contribution amounts, simply go to Shop for a list of all merchants with contribution percentages included.

     

  • Can I redeem coupons, discounts or gift certificates through the site?

    The redemption process for each merchant is different. Follow the merchant redemption policy available on the coupon or gift certificate. Please note, when you use a gift certificate, you may not earn a contribution for your cause or school. Be sure to always begin your shopping at OneCause before clicking through to a merchant.


  • Why do some merchant contributions differ between online and store?

    Merchants that offer online, store and/or catalog shopping options through OneCause often have different cost structures for processing transactions in each of their sales channels. These different costs can influence the contribution amount and may result in varied contribution amounts, depending on if you make a purchase online, in one of their stores or through a catalog.


  • Which merchants participate in OneCause?

    OneCause partners with hundreds of merchants, including online retail merchants, national and neighborhood stores, and national shopping catalogs. For a complete list of online merchants, please go Shop then "All Merchants." For other merchants, go to OneCause Visa or Neighborhood Shopping.


  • Will more merchants be added to OneCause?

    OneCause is continually adding new merchants for you to shop online, in stores and through catalogs to help you earn contributions for your favorite cause or school. If you choose to receive email notifications about special offers, we will provide you with information on newly added merchants. If you prefer not to receive email, please login to My Home, click "Email Preferences" and check only the emails you would like to receive.

  • Why did the merchant change its contribution rate?

    Online merchants change their contribution rates from time to time. Contribution percentages are also different for every merchant. Some merchants pay a flat contribution instead of a percentage, some pay a contribution percentage based on your order subtotal, excluding taxes and surcharges, and others pay different rates based on the type of merchandise or total amount purchased. To view current contribution amounts, go to a product category page or merchant detail page of your choice.


  • Can I contribute through online merchants not listed with OneCause?

    Only online purchases made from participating OneCause merchants will earn contributions for your chosen cause or school.   • Why should I register my credit and debit cards with OneCause?

    When you register your credit or debit cards with OneCause, you will be able to contribute to your chosen cause or school every time you shop with those cards at stores listed in Neighborhood Merchants.

     

  • Will I earn contributions on gift certificate purchases?

    Contributions earned on gift certificate purchases varies from merchant to merchant. Many online retail merchants, as well as store and catalog merchants, do not pay a contribution for gift certificate purchases. Review the merchant gift certificate policy available on each merchant's site.

     

  • Does using bookmarks to merchant sites reduce contributions?

    Merchants identify OneCause transactions by a code that is sent to them when you click to their sites from OneCause.com. You must begin every purchase at OneCause in order for a contribution to go to your favorite cause or school.

     

  • Do you offer a guarantee if I am dissatisfied with a purchase?

    OneCause does not offer a guarantee on your purchase with a specific online retail merchant. Each merchant is responsible for the quality of its merchandise. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase in any way, please contact the merchant directly so they may correct the issue.


  • Will I lose contributions on a returned item?

    Yes, you will lose contributions earned for your chosen cause or school on returned items. The item returned will be subtracted from your quarterly statement of purchases and the contribution will be adjusted accordingly.

     

  • How much can I can contribute with every purchase at an online merchant?

    The contribution you earn on each of your everyday purchases depends on the percentage contribution designated by the online retail merchants you shop. The percentages are listed on the category or merchant detail page.
