- Why does my Transaction Report not match my credit card statement?
Your Transaction Report may not match your OneCause Visa(R) Platinum credit card statement because most merchants only provide a contribution on the gross sales amount. They exclude other charges that appear on your statement including gift certificates, gift wrapping, sales tax, shipping and handling. Additionally, some merchants may exclude purchases like alcohol and tobacco from your contribution.
- Where can I view my total contributions?
To see total contributions you've earned for your cause or school, login to OneCause and click "View Transaction Details" beneath "Lifetime Contributions."
- How are contributions calculated and recorded?
OneCause automatically calculates your contributions based on our store, catalog and online retail merchant information. Each merchant keeps an accounting of purchases made by OneCause Supporters and periodically sends detailed reports of those purchases. We then incorporate this information into our reports and distribute contribution checks to each cause or school every quarter.
- How often are transaction reports updated?
Transaction reports are updated daily with the latest purchase and contribution information gathered from our online merchants. Please note there may be a lag of up to 8 weeks from the time of purchase to the time the contribution is posted in your report.
- When will my purchases appear in my Transaction Reports?
Your purchases will appear in your Transaction Reports only after each online merchant has reported your purchase to OneCause. The amount of time it takes for a purchase to show up in your account depends on the merchant. Merchants feed in the transactions periodically, varying from daily to one every 60 days. *If you are concerned about receiving credit for a purchase before the item is posted, please login to My Home, go to "View Transaction Details" and then "My Clicks." If there is a corresponding click for the merchant on the day you made your purchase, it is a good assumption that your transaction was recorded to contribute through OneCause.
- When will my transaction status change from pending to approved?
Before a transaction status is set to approved, the corresponding contribution amount must be received by OneCause from the online merchant. Transaction statuses are updated daily.
- Why are negative amounts appearing in my Transaction Report?
OneCause reports all data directly from the merchants, including negative amounts. A negative may reflect a return, a portion of an order that is not eligible for the contribution, such as shipping and handling, or a partial order shipment, which will count toward your contributions after the remaining order is shipped.
- Why would a purchase transaction be missing from my Transaction Details?
